The successful candidate will hold a minimum of a NEBOSH general certificate and have at least 2 years experience working in a manufacturing / engineering environment, have good communication skills be PC literate and have experience of delivering training. You will report directly to the Construction Site Manager and the Head of HSQE for the management and supervision of onsite activities by the company, its contractors and their subcontractors to ensure that a consistently excellent level of health & safety and environmental performance is achieved on site through compliance with the companys HSQE Management Systems and in the behaviour and attitude of all on site. The H&S Advisor will liaise with the HSQE Managers, customer and contractor H&S Managers / Advisors as necessary and the purpose of the role is to augment those of the Site Manager and the Assistant Site Manager who have direct and ultimate responsibility for project health and safety performance and ensuring adherence to the applicable Procedures and Method Statements. You will maintain the construction HSQE plans, complete staff inductions and training review contractor RAMS, undertake tool box talks, monitor COSHH and accident / incident reporting. The successful candidate will have a minimum of a NEBOSH general certificate and be at least Tech IOSH or above with excellent communication and inter personal skills. You will be able to demonstrate HV electrical, crane and lifting procedure experience with the ability to work at heights. The client will only consider candidates who have proven H&S experience working on large new build infrastructure / refurbishment projects, related to civil, electrical and mechanical engineering. The role is offered on a 1 year fixed term contract basis and gives a fantastic opportunity to join a global organisation on a prestige UK based project earning an excellent base salary up to £35,000 + expenses.

The client is looking to develop and deliver a new training programme to all areas of the business, therefore previous experience designing and delivering training would also be beneficial.
