The purpose of the role is to support the company’s commitment to the health safety and wellbeing of its employees through the delivery of an effective occupational health (OH) service and to support the senior occupational health advisor delivering quality OH support to the company and various project teams. You will assist in the development of OH policies and procedures and undertake and participate in OH audit programme, undertake health surveillance and other periodic health assessments for employees in line with regulatory requirements and best practice, undertake and provide advice to management and HR on the outcome risk based pre-placement health assessments including fitness for safety critical posts, provide support and advice to managers and employees in relation to sickness absence, provide planned rehabilitation strategies and other initiatives to support the return to work of employees following periods of ill health or injury. Knowledge and commercial experience of immunisation and infection control, absence management and planned rehabilitation is also important. The successful candidate will be an RGN (registered general nurse) with a current PIN number and hold some form of specialist Occupational Health qualification with proven commercial experience in a similar role providing OH delivery, health surveillance and have strong interpersonal and communication skills. The role will be based in Kent and pays a salary up to £40K with car or allowance and benefits. |
