Hertfordshire / Bedfordshire / Cambs / London: home base option (with two days minimum at the Hertfordshire office).  

​​This is a ‘non-routine’ Corporate Health and Safety vacancy which has recently evolved to provide strategic support to this ‘forward thinking’ Group Health, Safety and Environmental Director of a global manufacturing company. Providing a rewarding career sharing in their future success! 

NOT site based.  

This is a pivotal role to execute and lead the latest Group Health, Safety and Environmental initiatives such as behavioural based and leadership programmes across a complex organisation, so that business engagement and communication process skills and experience are essential.    

Working at Corporate level you will be responsible for collation of data related to Health, Safety and Environmental performance, with the ability to interpret trends and present reports.

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Practical experience in the health and safety industry 
  • Minimum of NEBOSH certificate or NCRQ Equivalent 
  • Strong communication management experience 
  • Technically astute progressive in the use of latest technical training tools and social media tools
  • Success in influencing and engaging across diverse operations 
  • 'Big' company background

Preferred Requirements 

  • Creative communication management and customer relations experience
  • Experience working for a FTSE 100 company
  • Degree educated
  • NEBOSH Diploma / Level 6 Health, Safety or Environmental qualification
  • Membership of IOSH and committed to CPD

This unique opportunity will be mainly working from the corporate base in Hertfordshire with some home working optional.

There will also be some UK travel involved to interface and engage with diverse operational site teams.
