A brand new leadership role has arisen for a credible buildings safety professional - Head of Infrastructure Safety with a world leading establishment that have safety firmly on their agenda.  You will essentially possess strategic and strong estates management experience to be able to “hit the ground running” working in collaboration with the senior leadership and management teams.

Commutable to Central London, this role offers agile working based on the needs of the role.

Reporting to the Director of Safety this crucial positon is ideal for a competent safety professional who can deliver a fresh approach to safety and who has previous experience of leading and coaching teams. The successful candidate will have forward thinking ideas to bring along that can assist in driving the positive health and safety culture throughout the teams.

My client is looking for a solutions-oriented safety professional with experience of providing visionary leadership and proven experience of strategic management within the built infrastructure environment.

Essentially you will hold:

  • CMIOSH or evidence of working towards and commitment to CPD
  • Nebosh Diploma or NCRQ equivalent
  • Nebosh Construction
  • Extensive experience of Asbestos, Legionella, Fire and Construction
  • Previously held a similar senior safety position
  • Significant experience of implementation of management systems.
  • Experience of managing safety in a substantial and complex multi-site organisation..

The role will include:

  • Provision of guidance and assurance to senior leadership team
  • Compliance with Building Safety and statutory requirements
  • Assurance of management of legionella, hazardous waste, asbestos
  • Development of Safety Training Strategy
  • Direct reports of 4 Safety professionals.

Importantly, you will possess a high level of gravitas along with exceptional communication skills and the ability to engage and influence stake holders with regard to Health and Safety
