Looking to work for an award winning organisation who are proud of their Health and Safety track record and have their employee wellbeing as a number one priority?  An opportunity for a passionate safety professional to be part of a highly successful safety team who are raising the bar when it comes to the development of new homes. This Health and Safety Advisor role is primarily field based across central England covering sites from Stratford Upon Avon to Gloucester to Oxfordshire and requires a pragmatic and engaging approach and the ability to promote a continuous positive culture across the business at all levels.

As the Health and Safety Advisor you will be involved across all aspects of the new build schemes from pre-construction to completion of each project.

This role offers the successful Health and Safety Advisor the opportunity to drive and support the success of this business through the positive safety culture already established. Essentially you will have previous experience of involvement with pre-start meeings, ensuring contractor works and documents are checked for contractor works.

Coaching and engaging, site inspections & reporting, undertaking H&S inductions for new employees, promoting of the Health, Safety & Environmental standards and ensuring compliance are all part of this role for a Health and Safety Advisor who is looking to make a difference and help promote good practice across the sites. Essentially housebuild or new build experience is the ideal for this Health and Safety Advisor role but there may be flexibility for the right candidate if you have a strong and solid work history.

Essentially you will have :

  • Relevant Experience within a Health and Safety role within the Construction Industry
  • Possess a detailed understanding of CDM Regulations
  • Hold a minimum of a Nebosh Construction qualification
  • Ideally TechIOSH working towards CMIOSH
  • Superb IT skills
  • AIEMA desirable

The successful Health and Safety Advisor will have a keen eye for detail and excellent organisation and time management skills and possess the ability to ensure they manage the wellbeing of themselves and those around them too.  

The rewards are high :

  • Salary range is £40,000 to £48,000 (dependant on experience)
  • Annual Bonus
  • Car or Car Allowance (approx £500 per month)
